Listen for the chime

Every shard in range plays a faint chime that gets louder as you approach. Playing with sound on is a meaningful advantage in denser rooms.

These small habits add up across a full playthrough.

Sweep the edges of a room before the center; shards are rarely placed in obvious open floor space.
Re-check rooms after resolving an adjacent one — some shards only appear once a nearby contradiction has been settled.
Use the hub's 'unresolved' filter to see at a glance which rooms still have missing shards.
